A Youth Congress protest during the India AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam has sparked a political controversy. Four activists have been arrested and sent to five-day police custody, while the Congress has described the action as an attack on democracy.
Delhi Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory due to the AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. Several key routes, including Bhairon Road and Mathura Road, will remain affected from 9 am to 8 pm amid heavy VVIP movement.
The summit, themed around global AI innovation and policymaking, has drawn ministerial delegations from over 45 countries, representatives from the United Nations, and leading global technology firms.
Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed that a dedicated “war room” has been functioning since the first day to monitor operations and resolve issues in real time, with officials working round the clock to ensure smoother management of the event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, bringing together global technology firms, startups, policymakers, and researchers.
The fair will be held between November 14 and 27 at the Bharat Mandapam. Since Hall No. 7 is under construction, it will not be part of the fair. The first five days of the 14-day fair will be reserved for business visitors, while the remaining nine days will be open to the general public.
