Market experts said falling US bond yields, stable dollar movement and global uncertainty have provided strong support to gold prices. In the international market, spot gold climbed to $4,412.63 per ounce.

Market Factors Behind Gold's Rally

According to Motilal Oswal Financial Services' H1 2026 Precious Metals Report, the relationship between gold prices and geopolitical tensions is changing.

The report highlighted that inflation trends, interest rates and monetary policies are now playing a bigger role in determining the direction of precious metal markets.

Experts believe that geopolitical uncertainty alone is no longer enough to drive gold prices higher. Investors are now closely tracking how global developments impact inflation and interest rate decisions.

Silver Prices Lose Momentum

While gold continued its strong run, silver prices witnessed a decline. On August 13 morning, silver prices fell to ₹2,54,900 per kilogram in the domestic market.

In the international market, spot silver declined to $66.23 per ounce. The contrasting movement between gold and silver highlights changing investor preferences amid shifting global economic conditions.
