New Delhi: Elon Musk’s influence stretches across some of the world’s most ambitious industries, including electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, space technology, neuroscience and transportation. As the entrepreneur’s business interests continue to expand, several of his ventures have become increasingly interconnected, creating one of the most closely watched corporate ecosystems in the world.

SpaceX at the Centre of Musk’s Empire

Founded in 2002, SpaceX remains one of Musk’s most prominent ventures. The company has evolved beyond rocket launches and now includes satellite internet services through Starlink. Earlier this year, SpaceX was integrated with Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, further consolidating his technology portfolio.

The company also houses social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, which Musk acquired in 2022. Despite ongoing investments and expansion plans, some of these businesses continue to face financial challenges while pursuing long-term growth strategies.

Tesla’s Shift Beyond Electric Vehicles

Musk has served as CEO of Tesla since 2008. While the company helped popularise electric vehicles globally, its focus has increasingly expanded into autonomous transportation, robotics and renewable energy.

Tesla continues to invest heavily in self-driving technology and robotic systems designed for both industrial and domestic applications. The company also remains active in solar energy through its earlier acquisition of SolarCity.

Neuralink’s Human-Machine Vision

Another key part of Musk’s portfolio is Neuralink, a brain-computer interface company launched in 2016. The firm is developing technologies designed to connect the human nervous system with computers.

Neuralink has been conducting clinical studies aimed at assisting people with neurological conditions and mobility impairments. The company’s work places it at the forefront of emerging neurotechnology research.

The Boring Company’s Transportation Projects

Musk also founded The Boring Company, which focuses on underground transportation infrastructure. The company has developed tunnel-based transit systems and continues to explore projects in several cities worldwide.

From Startup Founder to Global Business Leader

Before launching his current ventures, Musk built his early fortune through technology startups including Zip2 and X.com, which later became part of PayPal. The proceeds from those businesses helped finance many of the projects that now define his business empire.

Today, Musk remains one of the most influential figures in technology, with interests spanning multiple industries and future-focused innovations.
