NSE, BSE Closed on Mahavir Jayanti,
Mumbai: This week is going to be a short one for investors and traders involved in the stock market. On March 31st, the country's major stock exchanges - BSE and NSE - are completely closed on the occasion of Shri Mahavir Jayanti. This resulted in a complete shutdown of trading on Dalal Street, preventing investors from trading.
In addition to Mahavir Jayanti, there is another major holiday this week. The stock market will also be closed on Good Friday on April 3rd. This is the third time in the last two weeks that the market has been closed. Trading was previously closed on March 26th due to Shri Ram Navami. Due to the continuous holidays, market activity is low.
