Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and ONGC Chairman Arun Kumar Singh have given many instructions regarding transparency, effective communication and positive initiatives.

The purpose of these instructions was to establish better communication between the media and the public, so that the correct information about the company's achievements and government schemes can be shared on time. But, these instructions are being continuously ignored.

Communication Department Non-Professional

According to media reports and complaints of many journalists, ONGC's Corporate Communication Department seems to be completely inactive. The department officials neither pick up the mobile phone nor answer the landline calls.

Even messages are not responded too. Journalists too are ingnored and their repeated calls to the communication department are not responded at all. Even the necessary information about the ONGC is not shared with the journalists.

This negligence not only creates inconvenience to media personnel, but also affects the ONGC image. While other public sector companies of the country are adopting transparency and proactive approach in the field of media and public relations, this attitude of ONGC has become a matter of concern.

Spoiling The Image Of Minister And Chairman

Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri and Chairman Arun Singh are constantly taking new initiatives to improve the image of the company and increase efficiency. These include green energy projects, CSR initiatives and digital transition.

But the information about these initiatives is not reaching the general public. Due to the inactivity of the Corporate Communication Department, these positive efforts are not getting any publicity.

How To Maintain The Image?

The role of corporate communication is extremely important for a large and strategically important company like ONGC. This department is not limited to just issuing press releases, but it plays an important role in building the credibility, transparency and image of the company. If this kind of negligence continues, ONGC's reputation may suffer long-term damage.

Now it remains to be seen whether the minister and chairman take strict action on this negligence or this matter will remain suppressed like this.
