New Delhi: The country's oil companies have released new petrol and diesel prices on Friday, April 10. Today, petrol in Delhi remained stable at ₹94.77 and diesel at ₹87.67 per liter.

Petrol and Diesel Prices in Major Cities

There is a slight variation in petrol and diesel prices in different cities across the country. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at ₹103.54 and diesel at ₹90.03 per liter. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at ₹105.41 and diesel at ₹92.02, while in Chennai, petrol is selling at ₹101.23 and diesel at ₹92.81 per liter.

In Noida, petrol is priced at ₹94.74 and diesel at ₹87.81, in Gurugram, petrol is priced at ₹95.51 and diesel at ₹87.98. In Jaipur, petrol is priced at ₹104.72 and diesel at ₹90.21, while in Patna, petrol is priced at ₹105.59 and diesel at ₹91.82 per liter.

LPG Cylinder Rates

LPG gas prices also vary by city. In Patna, a domestic cylinder is available for ₹1011 and a commercial cylinder for ₹2365. In Lucknow, domestic gas is available for ₹950.50 and commercial for ₹2201.

In Kolkata, a domestic cylinder is priced at ₹939 and in Chennai, it is priced at ₹928.50. In Jaipur and Mumbai, domestic gas is available for ₹916.50 and ₹912.50, respectively. Commercial cylinder prices also vary by city.

Why are prices different?

Petrol and diesel prices are determined by oil companies, but central and state government taxes play a significant role. The international price of crude oil, the rupee's value against the dollar, refinery costs, excise duty, and state government VAT also influence prices. This is why fuel prices vary across states.
