New Delhi: Indian stock markets opened in the green on Wednesday, the third trading day of the week. The market had also seen a rise on Tuesday. The BSE Sensex rose 335.97 points, or 0.40 percent, to close at 83,871.32. The NSE Nifty gained 120.60 points, or 0.47 percent, to close at 25,694.95.

Reasons for Market Enthusiasm

There were several reasons behind the increased investor enthusiasm in the stock market. The biggest reason was the expectation of a possible trade agreement with the United States. Furthermore, news of the reopening of the US government also gave investors confidence.
