Ankit Baliyan Murder: Two Shooters Killed in UP STF Encounter, Major Breakthrough in Singer’s Killing Case
UP STF has achieved a major breakthrough in the Ankit Baliyan murder case as two shooters involved in the Haryanvi singer’s killing were killed in an encounter. Police have identified six suspects so far.

Shamli: In a major development in the Haryanvi singer Ankit Baliyan murder case, two shooters allegedly involved in the killing were killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), police officials said.
The deceased accused, identified as Sumit and Mohit, were among the four shooters who allegedly carried out the attack on Baliyan outside a gym in Shamli. Police said the investigation has so far revealed the involvement of six suspects — four shooters and two others who allegedly conducted reconnaissance before the murder.
The encounter took place after STF teams tracked down the accused during an ongoing investigation into the singer’s killing.
Singer Shot Dead Outside Gym in Shamli
Ankit Baliyan, a 35-year-old popular Haryanvi singer and YouTuber, was shot dead outside a gym in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. The attackers allegedly opened fire before fleeing the spot, triggering widespread anger and demands for strict action.
Baliyan was known for several popular Haryanvi tracks, including Bhari Court Mein Goli Maarenge Meri Jaan, which gained popularity among regional audiences.
Police Teams Traced Shooters During Investigation
According to police officials, extensive searches and technical surveillance helped investigators identify the suspects linked to the murder. During the operation, STF teams located Sumit and Mohit, following which an encounter broke out.
Police said the accused allegedly opened fire at security personnel during the exchange. The firing led to a retaliatory action in which both suspects were killed.
Gogi Gang Claimed Responsibility
The murder case took another turn after the Gogi gang allegedly claimed responsibility for the attack through a social media post. The gang reportedly cited Baliyan’s alleged links with rival groups as a reason behind the killing.
However, police are continuing their investigation to establish the exact motive and identify all those involved in the conspiracy.
Eight Teams Formed to Probe Murder
After the killing, police formed multiple teams to investigate the case, trace the suspects and collect evidence. Investigators are examining CCTV footage, call records and other technical inputs to uncover the complete sequence of events.
Police officials said efforts are underway to track the remaining suspects and bring all those involved in the murder conspiracy to justice.
