CBI apprehends absconder after 26 years for murder in Saudi Arabia

After the case was registered against Dilshad, the CBI went to his native village in the Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh and also opened a Look Out Circular (LOC) against the accused. But Dilshad remained elusive.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended Mohammad Dilshad for allegedly committing a murder in October 1999 in Saudi Arabia. Dilshan has been absconding for the last 26 years, said police on Saturday.

Fled To India

The accused, Mohammad Dilshad, had committed the murder of a person at the premises where he was working as a heavy motor mechanic cum security guard in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. After the committing the crime Dilshad had allegedly fled to India, and since then, he has been untraceable, said a CBI official.

After the case was registered against Dilshad, the CBI went to his native village in the Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh and also opened a Look Out Circular (LOC) against the accused. But Dilshad remained elusive.

During investigation, it was found out a number of times that the accused, Dilshad, often travelled outside India to Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia with a different identity acquired by fake means.
