Security Agencies Launch Intensive Checks

Following the alert, security agencies swiftly intensified checks in and around the Assembly complex. Bomb disposal squads, dog squads, and local police teams carried out extensive anti-sabotage operations to ensure the safety of the area.

Authorities said all necessary precautions were taken, and access to the premises was strictly monitored.

Similar Threats Reported a Day Earlier

The development comes a day after two separate threat emails were received on Tuesday morning. One email was sent to the Assembly’s official ID, while another was addressed to Speaker Vijender Gupta.

The threats had triggered a major security drill just ahead of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s scheduled budget presentation.

Cyber Teams Probe Source of Emails

Cyber experts and law enforcement agencies have launched a detailed investigation to trace the origin of the threatening emails. Officials said advanced technical methods, including IP tracking and email header analysis, are being used to identify the sender.

Police have stated that all threats are being treated seriously, and surveillance has been increased across key locations.

High Alert Around Key Locations

Security has also been heightened in surrounding areas, including the nearby Vidhan Sabha Metro Station, which reportedly received a similar threat earlier.
