Threatening Emails Target Delhi Assembly, Metro, and Top Leaders
New Delhi: The national capital, New Delhi, was shaken on Tuesday morning when a bomb threat was received against the Delhi Assembly. This threat was sent via email. According to reports, the first threatening email was received at around 7:28 am on the Assembly's official email address. Minutes later, at 7:49 am, the second email was sent to Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta's email address. Both emails warned of a serious attack.
Upon receiving the email, the administration and security agencies were immediately alerted. Police, bomb squads, and dog squads were immediately called to the scene. For security reasons, the Assembly premises were immediately evacuated, and all those present were safely evacuated. Authorities cordoned off the entire area and launched a thorough search.
The threatening email named several prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Other prominent figures were also targeted. This has made the matter even more sensitive, and investigating agencies are taking it very seriously.
Following the threat, a thorough search was conducted in every corner of the Assembly complex. Security checks were also increased in the surrounding areas, parking lots, and metro station. The bomb disposal squad checked every suspicious spot, but no explosive material or suspicious object has been found so far.
Following this incident, security in Delhi has been further tightened. Additional police forces have been deployed in important government buildings, metro stations, and crowded areas. Officials say the situation is completely under control, but caution is being maintained as a precaution.
Currently, the police and cyber cell are working to identify the sender of the email. The investigation is progressing based on the email's location and technical information. Officials have said that the culprit will be caught soon. People have also been appealed not to pay attention to rumours and immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity.
