The headless, mutilated body of an unidentified woman was found in a drain in Noida’s Sector 108. Police suspect murder within the last 48 hours and have formed teams to identify the victim and trace those responsible.

Noida: A decapitated body of an unidentified woman was found in Noida's Sector-108 on Thursday, causing a sensation in the area. According to the police, the woman's head was missing, and both her wrists had been severed. The deceased's body was found completely naked, making the case even more serious.
The area is located near the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and is considered an upscale locality of the city. Panic spread throughout the area after the body was discovered, and a police force arrived at the scene.

The body was found floating in a drain in Sector-108, located near a posh society and a park. A passerby informed the police helpline number around 12 PM that a woman's body was floating in the drain.
Upon receiving the information, a police team from the Sector-39 police station reached the spot and retrieved the body. According to police officials, the woman was murdered within the last 24 to 48 hours. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause and time of death.

Currently, the deceased woman has not been identified. Neither clothes nor any documents were found at the crime scene that could help in her identification.
Station House Officer Jitendra Kumar Singh said that the entire surrounding area was searched, but no clues were found. Three teams have been formed to identify the woman, and they are checking reports of missing women in the surrounding areas.
Along with this, footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being examined to find out who dumped the woman's body there.
Police officials believe that the woman was murdered at another location, and the body was later dumped in the drain. It is suspected that the accused dumped the body there at night when the traffic was less.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Addl DCP) Sumit Shukla stated that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination and the investigation is progressing rapidly.
A forensic team has also collected DNA and fingerprint samples from the crime scene. Police are also trying to ascertain whether the woman was a resident of another district or if she was abducted and brought here before being murdered.
Following the incident, an atmosphere of fear and insecurity has gripped Sector-108 and surrounding areas. Police have appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious person or activity to the police.
They have also requested residents of nearby societies to provide any available CCTV footage. This incident highlights the growing concern about rising crime in Noida, a city generally considered safe.
