Himachal Pradesh: 3 killed as minibus plunges into Alaknanda River; Latest update

A tragic accident took place on Thursday in Gholthir area of ​​Rudraprayag district. Here a bus full of passengers went out of control and fell straight into the Alaknanda river.

Rudraprayag: A heartbreaking news is coming from Uttarakhand, where a mini bus fell into a ditch near Gholtir on Rishikesh Badrinath National Highway. Before the accident, a truck collided with the mini bus and after that it fell into the ditch.

The latest update in bus accident is that, so far 10 passengers have been rescued and 8 are being treated in hospital and  bodies of 3 passengers have been recovered, which include a woman and a man. At the same time, ten people are still missing. However, the bus has completely submerged in Alaknanda.

According to the information received by the Dynamite News correspondent, 20 passengers are said to be in the bus. Out of which eight people were thrown out of the bus, the search for the rest is going on. However, the bus sank into the river. However, at this time the police investigation is going on and the people who fell out of the bus have been taken to the hospital.

Rescue Team Reached At Spot

After the incident, the police was immediately informed, after which the police and rescue team reached the spot and begin relief and rescue work. During this, the rescue team found seven people, who are being treated at the district hospital. However, all the people are fine, only minor injuries have occurred.

Passengers Were Way To Badrinath

It is being told about the accident that these passengers stayed at Rudraprayag at night after traveling from Kedarnath and left for Badrinath this morning. But then suddenly the bus fell into the ditch after being hit by a truck near Gochar and out of the 20 people in it, eight people survived and the bodies of three have been recovered.

The entire team has reached the spot and the hospital to take stock of the incident. During which they came to know how many passengers were in the bus. At the same time, the CMS told that so far 8 to 9 people have been admitted to the hospital, who are undergoing treatment.

There were a total of 20 people on the bus. During the accident, 8 people were thrown out of the bus, who were rescued immediately.

Out of these, four seriously injured were sent to AIIMS Rishikesh via heli ambulance, while the other four are being treated at the District Hospital Rudraprayag. As soon as the control room received the information about the accident, the district administration immediately dispatched teams of SDRF, NDRF, DDRF, Water Police and local administration to the spot.
