The incident occurred around 3:30 pm near Thaiyat village on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur highway. The bus was carrying 57 passengers. It is reported that the bus departed from Jaisalmer for Jodhpur at 3 pm as usual.
The bus was going to Durgapur in Sarkaghat with about 30 people, including driver and conducter, on board.
A Himachal Path Parivahan Nigam (HRTC) bus went out of control and fell into a deep ditch in Maseran area of Sarkaghat subdivision.
According to preliminary information, a passenger bus that was heading towards Shiraz overturned uncontrollably. The bus was crowded with passengers. The accident took place when the driver lost control of the bus and it fell into a roadside ditch.
The accident took place near Tachlu crossing when three buses of the Yatra convoy going towards Baltal.
20 passengers are said to be in the bus. Out of which eight people were thrown out of the bus. Watch video here
