Jaipur: A tragic road accident shook the entire city on Monday afternoon in the Harmara area of ​​the capital Jaipur. An out-of-control dumper first hit a car on Loha Mandi Road No. 14, then continued for 300 meters, crushing over five vehicles and pedestrians. 13 people were killed in the accident, while over 15 were injured. The accident erupted in chaos and panic.

According to police, the accident occurred around 1 p.m. An empty dumper was attempting to cross the highway when its brakes suddenly failed. The driver tried to control the vehicle, but the dumper spun out of control, slamming into several vehicles and pedestrians. According to locals, the dumper sped uncontrolled for approximately 300 meters before crashing into a large divider and stopping.

Panic spread throughout the area after the collision. Blood, damaged vehicles, and injured people were visible everywhere on the road. According to eyewitnesses, many people were trapped inside their vehicles. Locals informed the ambulance and police and began rescue operations themselves. The injured were first taken to Kanwatia Hospital, where three were referred to the SMS Hospital Trauma Center due to their critical condition. The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the Kanwatia Hospital mortuary.
