On the night of the attack, the accused allegedly reached the snooker club and assaulted him without warning. Armed with a knife and a dagger, they repeatedly stabbed him before fleeing the scene.
Police officials said the viral video shows the victim being stabbed multiple times in rapid succession. The teen sustained over ten deep wounds on one wrist, lost two fingers on the other hand, and suffered serious injuries to his shoulder and back. Authorities stated that the authenticity of the video is under verification.
The injured student managed to reach a hospital and inform police about the assault.
Initially, a case of voluntarily causing hurt was registered at the Tila Jamalpur Police Station. However, after the video surfaced, officials indicated that more serious charges are being considered.
The victim alleged that police response was delayed and that the accused were earlier released after notices were issued. Officers are now re-examining the case in light of the new evidence. The incident has sparked concern over rising juvenile violence and the role of social media in amplifying such crimes.
