Moradabad: A shocking incident has come to light from Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh. In Umri Sabjipur village, under the Pakbara police station area, a young woman, Kajal, and her lover, Armaan, who had been in a relationship for two years, were brutally murdered and their bodies were buried in a field behind a temple. Both had been missing for three days. Police excavated the site in the presence of a magistrate on Wednesday night and recovered the bodies.
Kajal, a resident of the village, worked as a teacher in a private school. She had been in a love relationship with Armaan for two years. They belonged to different communities. Their families were aware of this, but were against the relationship.

The incident occurred on the night of January 18th. Armaan went to meet his girlfriend at her home, but was spotted by Kajal's family. Enraged, Kajal's three brothers caught them, attacked them with shovels, and killed them. The accused then buried the bodies in a field behind the Neem Karoli Baba temple on the banks of the Gagan River.
The family alleged that they had expressed their fears to the police three days prior, but the police did not take the matter seriously. This negligence allowed the accused to conceal evidence for three days.
SSP Satpal Antil stated that during rigorous interrogation, the two brothers confessed to murdering their sister and her lover and burying their bodies.

On Wednesday, a joint team of Pakbara police, Katghar, Majhola, Mughalpura, and Munda Pandey police stations, led by the Superintendent of Police (Crime), recovered the bodies from a field behind the Neem Karoli Baba Temple. The bodies were sent for postmortem.
Following the recovery of the bodies, people from both communities gathered in the village. In response to the situation, the police deployed additional forces and the PAC. Village head Bablu Saini said he was unaware of the love affair. The news of this brutal murder has cast a pall of gloom over the village and shocked the people.
