Morena Horror: Man kills wife, two children with axe, Dies by suicide after family dispute

Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district, a man allegedly killed his wife and two minor children with an axe following a domestic dispute and later died by suicide after jumping in front of a train.

Bhopal: In a shocking incident from Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district, a man allegedly killed his wife and two minor children with an axe following a domestic dispute and later died by suicide after jumping in front of a train.

The incident took place in Kishanpur village under the Mata Basaiya police station area. The gruesome crime came to light on Saturday morning when neighbours noticed no movement inside the house and informed the police. A police team reached the spot and began an investigation.

Wife Had Returned From Her Parental Home Two Days Ago

According to available information, the accused has been identified as Balram Kushwaha, son of Haricharan Kushwaha, a resident of Kishanpur village. He had been having a dispute with his wife, Ravita, aged around 30.

Due to the ongoing tension, Ravita had been staying at her parental home in Kutwar village for some time. Two days before the incident, Balram and other family members reportedly brought her back to Kishanpur after a panchayat-level settlement.

Suspicion Over Wife’s Character Led To Frequent Fights

It is being said that Balram had started suspecting his wife’s character. A few days ago, Ravita had reportedly danced on stage during a Bhagwat programme held in Kishanpur village. Someone present at the event allegedly recorded a video and sent it to Balram.

After watching the video, Balram’s suspicion deepened and he allegedly began quarrelling with Ravita frequently. Despite her temporary return to her parental home, the situation did not improve.

Reports suggest that Balram had also shared the dance video with close relatives and sent objectionable messages about his wife.

Victim Tried To Save Herself And Children

The condition of the crime scene indicates that Ravita tried hard to save herself and her children. Her body was found around 20 feet away from the cot, suggesting that she may have struggled during the attack.

Police have recovered a blood-stained axe from inside the house, suspected to have been used in the crime.

Mother Slept Outside, Unaware Of The Killings

In a disturbing detail, Balram’s mother Ramkali was sleeping outside the house throughout the night. She reportedly had no idea about the violence taking place inside.

The incident came to light in the morning when the milkman arrived and found no response from inside the house. This raised suspicion, following which neighbours were alerted and the police were informed.

Police Probe Underway

Police officials are examining the crime scene and gathering statements from family members and neighbours. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.

Further investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events and the circumstances that led to the killings and Balram’s death.
