Hardoi: Tension continues to prevail in Garhi Rasulpur village under Mallawan area following the murder of Shilpi Kushwaha. The incident has triggered anger among locals, allegations of administrative negligence, and growing political activity in the region.
Samajwadi Party Chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav arrived to meet the victim’s family today. In view of his arrival, security has been tightened and heavy police deployment has been made across the village and nearby areas. Officials are maintaining strict surveillance, with every movement in and out of the village being closely monitored.
Family Alleges Repeated Complaints Ignored
Speaking to Dynamite News, Shilpi Kushwaha’s brother Virendra Kushwaha and father Ramrahish alleged that the family had repeatedly approached authorities, claiming harassment by the accused-Rishabh Dwivedi and his father Pramod Dwivedi.
The family stated that complaints were submitted at multiple levels, including the local police station and senior administrative offices, but no effective action was taken. They allege that timely intervention could have prevented the tragedy.
“My Sister Was Brutally Killed,” Says Brother
Visibly emotional, Virendra Kushwaha said his sister was allegedly attacked with a spade and killed by the accused. He claimed that despite filing numerous complaints over time, no concrete action was taken by the police.
He further alleged that the victim herself had visited police authorities multiple times seeking protection and justice, but her appeals went unaddressed.
Family Demands Strict Action
The victim’s father, Ramrahish, said the family is now only demanding justice and strict punishment for the accused. He expressed deep anguish, stating that his daughter had repeatedly approached officials but was left unprotected.
Political Activity Intensifies
The case has now gained political attention, with leaders from multiple parties visiting the area. The expected arrival of Akhilesh Yadav has further increased security arrangements and administrative alertness in the region.
