Udaipur medical student hangs self, blames faculty in suicide note

Udaipur News: A tragic incident has come to light in a private medical college in Udaipur, where a medical student committed suicide by hanging himself in her hostel room. The incident took place on Thursday night, when a BDS final-year student named Sweeta Singh, who was a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, ended her life.

Her roommate saw her hanging from the gallows, after which the hostel administration and the police were informed. The investigation of the case also found a suicide note, in which Sweeta accused the college's faculty members of mentally harassing the students and not conducting the examinations on time. In this note, she mentioned her mental anguish, after which he took this step.

After this incident, college students protested and blocked the road outside the college. They demanded strict action against the teachers whose names were taken in the suicide note.

The college director interacted with the students and assured them that strict action will be taken against the teachers who are accused. He said, "The police are investigating the matter, and further action will be taken on the basis of their conclusion. The college management is also taking the situation seriously, and the guilty teachers will be suspended."

At the same time, SHO of Sukhd police station Ravindra Charan said that the body of the student has been kept in Morchuri and a postmortem will be done after the arrival of her family members. He said that a detailed investigation is going on to find out the cause of suicide in the case.
