PM Modi Targets RJD-Congress in Katihar
Patna: During an election rally in the Katihar district of Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on opposition parties RJD and Congress. He said that these parties have always deceived the people of Bihar, and now the public is ready to teach them a lesson.
In his address, PM Modi also mentioned Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Chhath Mahaparv festival, and the work of the Nitish Kumar government.
PM Modi targeted Congress, saying that the "dynastic" leaders of Congress called the sacred festival of Chhath Mahaparv a "drama." He said that this statement is an insult to the culture and sentiments of Bihar. Modi said that Congress deliberately made this statement so that people would vent their anger on the RJD and it would face defeat.

Prime Minister Modi mocked the absence of Lalu Yadav's picture from RJD posters. He said, "The person who was the Chief Minister of Bihar for years, who established 'jungle raj' (lawlessness) in Bihar, his picture is now missing from the party's posters. Are they ashamed to even take their father's name?"
He questioned why the RJD is hiding its past from the people of Bihar and what "sin" it is trying to cover up.
PM Modi alleged that Congress wants to weaken the RJD to increase its vote bank in Bihar politics. He said that Congress has called leaders for campaigning who insult Biharis.

He mentioned that a Congress leader from Kerala compared the people of Bihar to "beedis" (a type of cigarette), which reflects their mentality. Modi said that Congress is conspiring to divide and incite the people of Bihar.
Attacking the opposition, the prime minister said, "These people are playing with the security of the nation to get votes. Congress and RJD are conspiring to give the rights of Indian citizens to infiltrators." He said that only Indian citizens have a right to India's resources, not extremists.

During the event, PM Modi also praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government's schemes. He said that under the women's employment scheme, ₹10,000 has been transferred to the accounts of 1.40 crore women in Bihar.
He said that the benefits of the "double-engine NDA government" are reaching every household in Bihar, and there is no longer any room for corrupt individuals.
