The message allegedly warned the actor of consequences while making several claims against him. Authorities are currently examining the origin and authenticity of the post.
According to sources, Mumbai Police were alerted after information about the alleged threat emerged through a Facebook post and an accompanying voice note. Investigators are verifying both the social media content and the audio recording.
Officials said no formal complaint has been filed by Aamir Khan or his representatives so far. Police indicated that legal action, including registration of a case, will be considered if a complaint is received and the allegations are found to warrant investigation.
The alleged post also referred to a recent crime involving a minor in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar district and praised the administration's response. It further warned that anyone found protecting the accused would face consequences. These claims are also being examined as part of the verification process.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has previously issued threats against actor Salman Khan, citing the 1998 blackbuck hunting case. The gang had also claimed responsibility for the firing outside Salman Khan's Mumbai residence in 2024 and has repeatedly mentioned the actor in its public statements.
At present, there is no official confirmation linking the latest alleged threat to the gang, and police continue to investigate the matter.
