New Delhi: The trailer of Bhoot Bangla has been released, marking the much-anticipated reunion of actor Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Priyadarshan. Known for delivering some of Bollywood’s most memorable comedy films, the duo appears to be returning to familiar territory with a blend of humour and supernatural elements.

A return to classic comedy style

The trailer leans heavily into nostalgia, echoing the chaotic, situational comedy that defined Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s collaborations in the early 2000s. With eccentric characters, fast-paced sequences and exaggerated setups, the film seems to revive a genre that continues to enjoy a strong fan following.

At the centre of the story is a mysterious mansion with a reputation for paranormal activity. Despite repeated warnings, Kumar’s character refuses to part with the property, setting the stage for a series of bizarre and comic events.

A haunted village and a strange mission

The narrative unfolds in the fictional village of Mangalpur, where fear of a sinister force named Vadhusur has kept weddings at bay for years. Adding to the chaos, Kumar’s character is determined to get married in the same village, leading to a clash between superstition and his stubborn resolve.

The trailer’s tagline hints at the tone of the film, blending humour with eerie undertones: a place where nothing is normal and danger lurks beneath the surface.

Tabu adds intrigue

While Akshay Kumar leads the film, Tabu emerges as a key highlight in the trailer. Her brief appearance suggests a layered character that could bring both mystery and depth to the storyline. Her distinct screen presence adds another dimension to the film’s mix of comedy and suspense.

Horror and humour go hand in hand

As the title suggests, Bhoot Bangla aims to strike a balance between scares and laughs. The trailer features eerie visuals interspersed with light-hearted moments, indicating a film that embraces entertainment without taking itself too seriously.

With a proven actor-director partnership, a strong ensemble cast, and a genre that resonates with audiences, Bhoot Bangla is positioned as a potential crowd-puller. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on April 16, with paid previews beginning on April 16 at 9 PM.
