Bigg Boss OTT 4 has been cancelled indefinitely as makers opt for a single unified Hindi season. Going forward, Bigg Boss will air on television and stream live on OTT platforms together, ensuring higher viewership and avoiding audience division.

Bigg Boss OTT 4 Cancelled
Mumbai: For nearly two decades, Bigg Boss has remained one of the most controversial and popular reality shows on Indian television. Over the last 19 years, the show has successfully kept audiences hooked with its drama, conflicts, and celebrity contestants. To expand its reach and cater to digital viewers, the makers also introduced an OTT version of the show, releasing three separate seasons exclusively for online platforms.
After the third OTT season, fans were eagerly waiting for Bigg Boss OTT Season 4. However, recent developments have left viewers disappointed.

According to reports, the makers have taken a surprising decision to cancel Bigg Boss OTT (Hindi) indefinitely. This means that Bigg Boss OTT 4 will not be produced. Instead, the creators have decided that there will now be only one Hindi Bigg Boss season, which will be aired simultaneously on television and OTT platforms.
This strategic shift aims to streamline the show’s format and avoid content duplication across platforms.
The makers believe that audiences should not be divided between television and digital platforms. Going forward, viewers will be able to watch the same season of Bigg Boss on both TV and OTT, similar to the format followed during Bigg Boss 19, where the show was broadcast on television and live-streamed digitally at the same time.
The objective is to ensure that viewers are not restricted to one medium and can enjoy the show wherever they prefer.
Bigg Boss OTT Season 1 was hosted by Karan Johar, and Divya Agarwal emerged as the winner.
Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 saw Salman Khan take over hosting duties, with Elvish Yadav winning the season.
Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 was hosted by Anil Kapoor, and Sana Makbul claimed the trophy.
After three seasons with different hosts and winners, the makers had initially planned a fourth season, which has now been shelved.
Interestingly, many viewers are supporting this decision. Social media users have expressed that a separate OTT version is unnecessary when the regular Bigg Boss season is already available for streaming online. Several fans believe that running two versions of the same show simultaneously only creates confusion.
Earlier, Bigg Boss was exclusively a television show. With time, it expanded to OTT platforms and began offering live streaming alongside TV telecasts. However, after launching a separate OTT season, platforms like JioCinema ended up streaming Bigg Boss twice a year.

This forced audiences to choose between the TV and digital formats, directly impacting TRP ratings and viewership numbers. To avoid this split and maintain strong engagement, the makers decided to unify the format.
