New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor's film "O Romeo" already generated a lot of buzz on social media, but did this hype translate into box office collections? The film earned ₹8.25 crore on its opening day on Friday. Judging by its opening collections, it's clear that it didn't have the impressive start expected. The film will now rely on the weekend, with collections expected to increase on Saturday and Sunday.

"O Romeo": Hope and Reality

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Shahid Kapoor once again portrays an imperfect hero. However, the film failed to create the same magic at the box office as "Haider." While initial collections fell slightly short of audience expectations, they may improve over the weekend.

"Tu Ya Main": A Poor Opening

Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav's romantic thriller "Tu Ya Main" earned only ₹5.5 million on its first day. Despite its thriller and romance elements, the film failed to impress audiences. The film generated buzz on social media, but it was a disappointment on opening day.

'Vadh 2' has a slow performance

On its eighth day in theaters, 'Vadh 2' collections dropped from lakhs to ₹4 lakh. On the seventh day, the film had earned ₹20 lakh. The film's total collections have reached ₹3.49 crore so far. The film stars Neena Gupta, Sanjay Mishra, Kumud Mishra, Yogita Bihani, and Akshay Dogra in pivotal roles.

Mardaani 3 struggles at the box office, fails to match the success of its predecessor

Status of 'Mardaani 3' and 'Border 2'

'Mardaani 3' earned ₹60 lakh on its 15th day, bringing its total collections to ₹41.51 crore so far. 'Border 2,' which has been in theaters for 22 days, earned ₹80 lakh on Friday, bringing its total collections to ₹318.56 crore so far.

The box office performance of new and old films is mixed. While "O Romeo" is likely to improve over the weekend, "Tu Ya Main" failed to win over audiences. Older films like "Vadh 2," "Mardaani 3," and "Border 2" are now limited to collections in the millions. This weekend, the biggest box office eyes will be on "O Romeo" and "Tu Ya Main."
