New Delhi: These days an interesting sight is being seen at the box office. Many films are earning ordinary money on weekdays, but as soon as Saturday and Sunday come, these films surprise everyone by earning tremendous money. This trend has been going on for some time, and there is no sign of it decreasing.

Superstar Rajnikanth leads the front

At the forefront of these films is superstar Rajinikanth's film 'Coolie.' The film was released on August 14 and did tremendous business in its first weekend, but later its earnings declined. However, it made a strong comeback in its second weekend and collected Rs 10.75 crores on Sunday alone.

With this, the total collection of the film has touched the figure of Rs 256.75 crores, which is a great achievement. On the other hand, the film 'War 2,' starring stars like Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, is also not far behind. This film also earned Rs 6.50 crore on its 11th day, i.e., second Sunday.

According to this, the total collection of 'War 2' has now crossed Rs 221 crore, which shows its popularity.

Mahavatara Narasimha maintains its dominance

Apart from these two big films, the animated film Mahavatara Narasimha has also maintained its dominance. Surprisingly, this film is still at the box office even after more than a month of its release.

It did a business of Rs 6.15 crore on its 31st day, and its total collection has become Rs 231.75 crore. This achievement is also amazing because this film was made on a budget of just Rs 15 crore.

Saaiyara getting close to 350 Cr

Similarly, Ahan Pandey and Anit Padda's film "Saaiyara" is also performing consistently well. It earned Rs 80 lakh on Sunday, and its total collection stands at Rs 327.65 crore, making it one of the most successful films of the year.

Overall, 'Coolie' led the box office this weekend, earning the highest amount. It seems that the audience is preferring to watch movies on weekends, which has brought smiles to the filmmakers and theater owners. This trend may continue in the times to come.
