New Delhi: Imtiaz Ali's latest directorial venture, Main Vaapas Aaunga, is gradually building momentum at the box office as positive audience feedback continues to attract viewers. The film recorded another healthy day on Wednesday, taking its total worldwide gross closer to the ₹19 crore mark.

Collections Show Positive Trend

According to trade estimates, the film earned ₹1.75 crore in India on its sixth day, registering an improvement over Tuesday's performance. The steady rise in collections suggests that word of mouth is helping the film maintain its theatrical run despite competition in the market.

After six days in cinemas, the film's total India gross collection stands at ₹11.98 crore, while its India net collection has reached ₹10.05 crore.

Overseas Market Adds To Growth

The film is also finding support from audiences outside India. On Day 6, Main Vaapas Aaunga collected approximately ₹0.50 crore from international markets.

This pushed its overseas gross earnings to ₹6.75 crore, taking the film's worldwide gross collection to ₹18.73 crore. The numbers indicate a steady performance across territories and reflect growing audience interest.

Film Industry Voices Appreciation

Apart from its box office performance, the film has received praise from several prominent filmmakers.

Director Zoya Akhtar congratulated the team and described the film as a beautiful cinematic effort. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap also extended his appreciation to editor Aarti Bajaj, while Anubhav Sinha praised Imtiaz Ali's storytelling and conviction, highlighting the emotional depth of the project.

Imtiaz Ali And Diljit Reunite

Main Vaapas Aaunga marks the second collaboration between Imtiaz Ali and actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh after their acclaimed project Amar Singh Chamkila. The film also reunites Ali with composer A. R. Rahman and lyricist Irshad Kamil, a creative team known for memorable soundtracks in films such as Rockstar, Highway and Tamasha.

Set against the backdrop of Partition and a deeply emotional love story, the film explores themes of loss, longing and identity, resonating with audiences across generations.
