Urvashi Rautela Steals Cannes
New Delhi: Bollywood actor and former beauty queen Urvashi Rautela once again became one of the biggest talking points at the Cannes Film Festival 2026 with her glamorous red carpet appearance. The actor arrived in a striking silver couture gown that quickly caught the attention of fashion enthusiasts and international media alike.
According to some reports, the outfit is estimated to be valued at nearly Rs 1500 crore (around 155.87 million USD). The couture piece was reportedly designed as an artistic fashion installation rather than a regular red carpet outfit. If the reported valuation is accurate, the ensemble could become one of the most expensive looks ever showcased at Cannes.
The extravagant gown has also drawn comparisons with some of the most talked-about celebrity fashion moments in recent years, including Kim Kardashian’s Marilyn Monroe-inspired Met Gala appearance.
Urvashi wore a custom creation by JoliPoli Couture, a Vietnamese label known for heavily embellished couture designs. The fitted silver gown featured sheer detailing, lavender mesh accents, and intricate embellishments across the bodice.
The dress was adorned with crystals, beads, and sculpted stonework, creating an armour-inspired effect under the bright red carpet lights. Flowing cape sleeves added extra drama to the overall look, helping the actor stand out among several international celebrities at the event.
Speaking during the event, Urvashi said that representing India on a global platform always feels special to her. She stated that whenever she attends an international event, she sees herself as representing the country rather than only herself.
On the work front, Urvashi will next be seen in the comedy film Welcome to the Jungle. She is also working on the bilingual thriller Black Rose and a Hindi remake of Thiruttu Payale 2. The actor is additionally attached to an upcoming Hollywood project alongside Michele Morrone.
