Mumbai: After the massive box-office success of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’, the makers have officially announced its sequel, ‘Dhurandhar 2’, and revealed major plans aimed at South Indian audiences. The upcoming film will not be limited to a Hindi release but will also hit screens in multiple South Indian languages.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ to Release in Multiple Languages

According to media reports, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is slated for release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, making it a pan-India release. Industry insiders see this move as a strategic step to expand the franchise’s reach in the southern markets.

Star-Studded Cast Returns

Ranveer Singh will reprise the lead role in the sequel. The film also features an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, best known for ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, the film follows the story of an Indian spy operating in Lyari, Pakistan, and is inspired by real-life events.

Blockbuster Box Office Performance

Released in theatres on December 5, ‘Dhurandhar’ has emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year. The film has already collected ₹589.50 crore worldwide and is steadily marching towards the ₹600 crore mark, cementing its blockbuster status.
