Mumbai: Famous Bollywood actress Madhumati has passed away. Vindu Dara Singh confirmed the sad news through a social media post. He wrote, "Madhumati was not only a teacher and friend, but also a guide and a source of inspiration. She taught dance to Akshay Kumar, Tabu, and many other stars and was a role model for thousands of students."
Vindu further wrote, "When she woke up this morning, she drank a glass of water and fell asleep forever. We all lost someone close to us. Her dance in films will always remain immortal."

Madhumati was born on May 30, 1938, into a Parsi family in Mumbai. Her father was a judge. She had a passion for dance since childhood, which made her less interested in her studies. She also mastered film dance, including Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Manipuri, and Kathakali. For her, dance was as essential to life as eating, drinking, and breathing.
