Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's film 'Dhurandhar' has been in theaters since December 5, 2025. This action-thriller film is generating tremendous excitement among audiences. Although the film has performed well at the box office, it has not yet achieved "hit" status.
'Dhurandhar' has earned a total of ₹159.40 crore at the Indian box office in 5 days. Globally, the film has grossed ₹224.75 crore. The film has impressed audiences and continues to draw crowds to theaters in many cities.
According to Koimoi's report, 'Dhurandhar' has a budget of approximately ₹250 crore. While the film has earned around ₹224.75 crore so far, it hasn't yet fully recovered its budget. However, given the film's earning momentum, it is estimated that it will recover its budget in the next day or two.
Dhurandhar Breaks Records; OTT Deal Finalised
However, for a film to be considered a box office hit, it needs to earn approximately double its budget. Therefore, 'Dhurandhar' would need to achieve a total collection of around ₹500 crore to be categorized as a hit. So, currently, it can only be called a "profitable" film, but not a hit.
'Dhurandhar' is directed by Aditya Dhar. Ranveer Singh plays the lead role, while Sara Arjun is the lead actress. The film also features Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan in important roles.
Given the film's success and audience enthusiasm, the makers have also announced 'Dhurandhar—Part 2.' This sequel will be released in theaters on March 19, 2026.
