Who is Ruchi Gujjar?

The model and actress was crowned Miss Haryana in the year 2023. Aiming to enter the entertainment industry, she picked Mumbai after completing her studies at Maharani's College in Jaipur. She has appeared in music videos such as 'Helly Mein Chor' and 'Jab Tu Meri Na Rahi'.

During the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025, Ruchi Gujjar caught attention by sporting a necklace featuring images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In an unexpected event, actress Ruchi Gujjar struck director Man Singh with a slipper at a movie theater in Mumbai. The whole dispute has arisen following the current economic crisis involving the actress and another producer, Karan Singh Chauhan.

Ruchi Gujjar stated Karan Singh Chauhan had proposed she join as a co-producer in a Hindi television series last year. Documents concerning this matter were also forwarded to him on behalf of Chauhan. Ruchi Gujjar stated that trusting this proposal, from July 2023 until January 2024, she executed multiple payments from her firm SR Event and Entertainment to the account linked with producer Karan Singh Chauhan's studio.

Nevertheless, the project never got started. When the actress requested her payment, it was reportedly postponed, and Chauhan continued to deceive. The actress has lodged a report with the police, stating that she has learned the funds she provided were not utilized for the TV show but for the production of So Long Valley.

Ruchi Gujjar mentioned that upon learning that So Long Valley was set to release on July 27, she asked Karan Singh Chauhan for her money, but she was reportedly threatened. The actress has submitted a lawsuit under Sections 318 (4), 352, and 351 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) regarding the purported fraud case worth Rs 25 lakh.
