Noida: At least 31 new dengue cases were founded in Noida over the past two days.

In July, the number of patients was below 50. But, due to negligence amid heavy rains in early September, the number of patients has reached 93.

Senior doctors have appealed to take special precautions in the next two months. Surprisingly, the number of patients has increased by more than 40 percent in August itself. On Monday, the highest number of 17 dengue cases have been reported in the district so far.

For the last 15 days, only one or two dengue patients were being found in the city. According to the department's estimate, the number of patients has started increasing rapidly in September. On August 31, 14 patients were found, while on Monday the team found the highest number of 17 cases.

With this, the malaria department has become strict. The officer has also instructed private hospitals to send samples. Last year, out of 604 patients, more than 460 patients were found in these three months. Earlier, 791 patients were found in the same three months of 2023.

With this, the total number of patients had increased to 993. There was a similar situation in the previous years as well. District Malaria Officer Shrutikirti Verma says that in case of increase in dengue patients, 20 teams have been formed in urban and rural areas and larvae have started being tested at various places.

The members go to different areas and empty the stagnant water in coolers, pots, drains, tubs, containers and other places. So far a total of 93 patients have come. The maximum number of patients reported in a single day is 17.
