When we bend the head forward, the muscles and bones of the neck are under many times more pressure than normal. The head of a normal adult weighs about 5-6 kg, but in a bending position, this weight can be felt up to 25 to 27 kg. This causes problems like neck pain, stiffness, tension in the shoulders and spinal deformity.

Pain in shoulders and upper back

Problems like headache or migraine

Tingling or numbness in hands

Discomfort or stiffness in moving the neck

If these symptoms are ignored in time, then this problem can take a more serious form, then the treatment can be long and complicated.

How To Avoid Text Neck?

To avoid this problem, it is important that we change the way we use our device. Some important measures are given below-

While using mobile or laptop, keep the screen at eye level.

Keep the neck straight and sit with the back close to the chair.

Keep the shoulders loose and in a comfortable position during work.

Take Regular Breaks

Take a break of 5-10 minutes every 30-40 minutes.

During this time, rotate and stretch the neck and shoulders.
