New Delhi: Vaping is considered a popular substitute to smoking. This is marketed as a safer option compared to traditional cigarettes but vaping can cause Irreversible Lung Damage and Lung Disease, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

What Is Vaping? 

It involves inhaling and escalating vapors produced by an e-cigarette or a vape pen, also called aerosol. This device heats a liquid known as vape juice that contains acrolein, flavoring, and other toxic chemicals like acrolein, which are used to kill weeds.

Is Vaping Safer Than Smoking?

It is considered that vaping is non-dangerous because tobacco burning is not involved, though it is not secure; it's not harmless water vapor, it still carries many health risks, although it does not include dangerous chemicals that were found in traditional cigarettes but most of the liquid used in vapes contains nicotine, which is highly addictive, damages brain development, and increases heart rate and blood pressure, leading to long-term cardiac issues. Switching from traditional cigarettes to e-cigarettes is indeed beneficial, as it does not contain tobacco, which is responsible for cancer.

Health Risks Of Vaping 

Nicotine Addiction: It is highly addictive substance, that lead to many concerns like withdraw symptoms, high blood pressure in long term of use. 

Harm to brain development: The brain develops until the age of 25, as it is more treading in youth the nicotine exposure can harm the parts of brain that control attention, learning, mood and impulsive control.

Lung damage and respiratory issues: The vapor contains ultrafine particles of chemicals, which can cause lung damage and conditions that are irreversible, like popcorn lungs. 

Intake of toxic chemicals: Vaping aerosol can contain cancer-causing chemicals (carcinogens) like formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, as well as metals like nickel, tin, and lead. These substances can go deep inside the lungs. 

Poisoning risk: The liquid in the citrates is toxic if swallowed or absorbed through the skin can act as a poison. 

The young people who vape are more likely to leads to tobacco smoking in future. The gateway of smoking can lead to lifetime addiction.
