New Delhi: Satyapal Malik, the former governor of Jammu & Kashmir and Bihar passed away. He was suffering from a severe kidney disease. He passed away on Tuesday, 5 August at 1:12 pm at RML Hospital in Delhi after suffering from an illness for a long time.

Reports say that Satyapal Malik had a urinary tract infection, which led to a serious kidney problem. He also had diabetes and high blood pressure. All of these conditions can harm the kidneys.

Diabetes And High Blood Pressure

Doctors say that diabetes and high blood pressure are mostly seen as the main reasons for serious and life-threatening kidney issues. If high sugar levels and high blood pressure are not controlled, they can slowly harm how well the kidneys work. This makes it harder for the kidneys to remove waste and extra fluid from the blood.

In serious situations, there's a chance that the kidneys might stop working properly. If you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, be cautious.

Health experts say that people who frequently have higher than normal blood pressure or sugar levels are more likely to develop kidney issues. Having both high blood pressure and high sugar levels can make it more likely to develop kidney issues.

High blood pressure, also called hypertension, makes the arteries in the kidneys narrower or harder, which lowers the amount of blood flowing to the kidneys. This can harm the kidneys' ability to remove waste and extra fluid from the body. This damage might result in chronic kidney disease, and in some serious situations, it can cause kidney failure.

Similarly, high sugar levels can lead to diabetic nephropathy. It is the main reason for kidney failure in many developed countries. High blood sugar can start to harm the blood vessels in the kidneys, which makes it harder for the kidneys to clean the blood and remove extra fluid properly.

How To Take Care Of Kidneys?

Keeping your kidneys healthy is really important, and taking care of your overall health helps with that. To do this, you need to drink a lot of water, eat healthy foods, keep your blood pressure and blood sugar under control, and stop smoking and drinking alcohol.
Getting enough sleep each night and doing exercise on a regular basis are also key for keeping your kidneys in good shape. If you keep getting urinary tract infections often, you should not ignore them. This kind of infection can also lead to serious harm to the kidneys.
