Tehran: Hours after Israel threatened to target Iran's railway network, its president Masoud Pezeshkian struck a defiant tone, asserting that over 14 million Iranians, including himself, have declared their readiness to sacrifice their lives in defence of the nation.

The remarks highlight Tehran’s firm position even as threats of further escalation loom.

Earlier, Israeli military issued a fresh warning to Iranian civilians, advising them to avoid trains and railway infrastructure until 9 pm local time due to ongoing strikes.

Your presence puts your life at risk: IDF warns

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Tuesday posted the alert in Farsi on social media platform X, cautioning that being present near railway lines or trains could put lives at risk during the ongoing military operations.

“Your presence puts your life at risk,” the IDF said in the message, urging Iranian citizens to stay away from trains and railway areas until further notice.

Meanwhile, multiple explosions were heard across Tehran on Tuesday, marking a sharp escalation in the ongoing conflict. Blasts were reported in northern parts of the capital, raising concerns about expanding military activity in densely populated areas.

Local reports also indicated damage to key sites, though the full extent remains unclear as the situation continues to unfold.

Civilian Mobilisation Efforts

Iranian authorities have called on citizens to take part in protective measures. Appeals have been made for people to form “human chains” around vital infrastructure such as power plants to deter potential attacks.

The move reflects both a symbolic show of unity and an attempt to safeguard key national assets.

Escalation Raises Global Alarm

The situation remains highly volatile, with continued reports of strikes and military preparedness on both sides. The crisis has drawn international concern due to the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil shipments.

With tensions peaking and the deadline approaching, the coming hours are expected to be critical in determining whether the conflict escalates further or moves toward de-escalation.
