Tehran: The already tense US-Iran conflict has taken a dangerous turn after a reported US missile strike hit a wedding gathering in southern Iran’s Hormozgan province. The attack allegedly killed four people, including a child, while more than 50 others were injured, according to Iranian officials.

The strike took place in Kuhestak, Sirik County, near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. Iranian authorities said shrapnel from the missile hit a residential house where a wedding celebration was underway, turning a moment of celebration into a scene of destruction.

Khamenei Issues Strong Warning to Washington

Following the attack, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States of a strong response, saying Iran and its allies had “unforgettable lessons” for America.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also issued a warning, saying the US would “regret” its latest actions and that retaliation could follow.

Iranian officials accused Washington of targeting civilians and called the incident part of a broader series of attacks during the ongoing conflict.

US-Iran Tensions Reach New Flashpoint

The latest strike comes amid escalating military tensions between Washington and Tehran. The United States has said its operations targeted locations linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps following alleged threats against American forces and shipping activity around the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran, meanwhile, has accused the US of aggression and vowed to respond.

The incident has raised fresh concerns that the confrontation between the two countries could expand into a wider regional conflict, with global attention focused on the next steps from both Washington and Tehran.

Global Concern Over Rising Middle East Conflict

The deadly wedding strike has intensified fears of further escalation in the Middle East. With both sides issuing warnings and military actions continuing, the possibility of a broader confrontation remains a major international concern.
