Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s wife, Cami Clark, once approached Jeffrey Epstein about investing in Eddice, an adult entertainment company she co-founded. The company was presented as a women-focused, high-end adult media business. This connection was reported by The Wall Street Journal and is also described in emails from the Epstein files.
Clark was introduced to Epstein in March 2011 by literary agent John Brockman. He suggested that Epstein meet Clark and her business partner, Michelle Capocefalo, for dinner. Emails from the files show Brockman telling Epstein that he should connect with the two women.
At the time, Epstein had already pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting prostitution and had registered as a sex offender.
Clark’s Business Proposal to Epstein
Clark and Capocefalo created Eddice with the goal of making adult entertainment that they believed would appeal more to women. They described the company as “intellectually promiscuous” and planned content with titles such as “Lady Porn Day” and “Orgasm, Inc.”
About a year after meeting Epstein, Clark contacted him about the company. She responded to the introduction by saying that she and Capocefalo would be happy to have dinner with him.
After their meeting, Clark sent Epstein information about how much money the company was looking to raise. She also thanked him for the meeting and said it had been fantastic.
A few days later, she sent him the scripts and plans for the first four films Eddice wanted to produce. She suggested that Epstein and the women around him might enjoy the material. The email included the title “American Girl in Paris” and noted that some of the content was not safe for work.
The following year, Clark again contacted Epstein to ask if he might be interested in investing in her business and another project involving a colleague. There is no evidence that Epstein invested money in Eddice. In a separate email, he declined, saying he could not invest in “TV sex.”
In July 2012, Clark invited Epstein to a housewarming party. The available emails do not show that the two met again after that.
In 2013, Epstein reportedly received a LinkedIn message encouraging him to congratulate Clark after she became CEO of Female Algorithm Technologies.
The Wall Street Journal also reported that Eddice had an online presence that included a Tumblr page with nude photographs, an image of Steve Jobs, and slogans such as “Great Minds F- Each Other” and “Let’s Make Lots of Money.”

Clark has generally stayed out of the public spotlight, and there is limited information available about her personal life. The Wall Street Journal reported that some efforts had also been made to remove information about her from the internet.
Clark married Dario Amodei in 2022.
Searches for information about Amodei’s wife can sometimes bring up his sister, Daniela Amodei, who is also a major figure at Anthropic. Even Anthropic’s AI chatbot, Claude, has reportedly said that Amodei’s marital status is not clearly confirmed.
Before her relationship with Amodei, Clark dated Google co-founder Eric Schmidt for around three years. Details about their relationship are limited, but they appear to have remained friendly.
Clark began dating Amodei in 2014 and later introduced him to Schmidt. Schmidt visited the couple at their San Francisco home in 2018. He later became one of Anthropic’s early investors when the company began raising major funding in 2021.
Clark does not have an official position at Anthropic. However, according to The Wall Street Journal, she has become an important adviser to Amodei. She has reportedly accompanied him to major events and helped him build relationships with investors, business executives and other influential people.
Her role has attracted more attention as Anthropic has grown quickly and considered the possibility of going public. Such a move could potentially give the AI company a valuation of more than $2 trillion.
Even with her close connection to one of the world’s biggest AI companies, Clark has continued to keep a relatively private public profile.
