Baloch Militants Claim Multiple Attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan, Four Military Personnel Reportedly Killed

New Delhi: Baloch armed groups have claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistan’s security forces and key infrastructure across Balochistan and Sindh provinces. The groups have claimed that four military personnel were killed and several strategic installations were damaged in the incidents.

According to statements issued by militant organisations, the attacks were carried out in different locations, including Balochistan’s Bolan, Nasirabad, Kachhi and Quetta regions, as well as parts of Sindh.

United Baloch Army Claims Attack on Military Checkpoint

The United Baloch Army (UBA) claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistani military checkpoint in the Daraz Beat area of Balochistan’s Bolan region.

UBA spokesperson Mazar Baloch said fighters used a remote-controlled explosive device to target the checkpoint on Monday. He claimed that four military personnel were killed and another sustained critical injuries in the attack.

The group also claimed that its members had been monitoring military movements between Daraz Beat and the Panjra Bridge checkpoint and had gathered intelligence about convoy routes and personnel movements before carrying out the attack.

Baloch Republican Guards Target Power Infrastructure

The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for attacks on electricity infrastructure in Balochistan and Sindh.

BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch stated that explosives were used to target two 220kV electricity transmission towers near Chattar in Balochistan’s Nasirabad district.

The group further claimed that its fighters damaged an agriculture office in Dhadar area of Kachhi district on August 9 and destroyed two electricity towers near Shikarpur in Sindh.

BNM Accuses Pakistan of War Crimes Over Airstrikes

Meanwhile, the Baloch National Movement (BNM) has accused the Pakistan Air Force of carrying out strikes in the Gidar area of Surab district in Balochistan, describing the action as a “war crime.”

The organisation alleged that residential areas were targeted, resulting in the deaths of more than 20 civilians. The BNM claimed that attacks on civilians and alleged deaths of children violated international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.

The group has called for international intervention and urged organisations, including the European Union, to take action over what it described as a worsening humanitarian situation in Balochistan. It also appealed for a review of Pakistan’s GSP+ trade privileges.

Gas Pipeline Explosion Disrupts Supplies in Quetta

Pakistan authorities have also reported an explosion targeting a gas pipeline operated by state-run Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) in Balochistan.

According to the company’s spokesperson, the blast occurred at the KMP-246 valve assembly near Gorkat in Kachhi district, around 700–800 metres from the Quetta-Sibi road.

The explosion damaged an 18-inch diameter pipeline, disrupting gas supplies to several towns and cities since Wednesday night.

The latest incidents highlight continuing security challenges in Balochistan, where armed groups have repeatedly targeted military installations, energy infrastructure and government assets.
