French President Emmanuel Macron to Visit India; Strategic partnership in focus

New Delhi: President of the French Republic, HE Emmanuel Macron, will visit India from 17 to 19 February at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a significant step in strengthening the India-France strategic partnership.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will hold talks to strengthen cooperation between India and France in key areas, following the Horizon 2047 Roadmap.

They will also discuss important regional and global issues, including closer collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region.

During the visit Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation in Mumbai.

Celebrated throughout 2026 in both countries, the year-long initiative will highlight collaboration in innovation, technology, research, and entrepreneurship, strengthening the growing partnership between India and France.

President Macron will participate in the AI Impact Summit on 19 February in New Delhi, emphasizing the expanding cooperation between the two nations in emerging and critical technologies.

The visit follows Prime Minister Modi’s trip to France in February 2025 and reflects the deep mutual trust, shared values, and a broadening strategic partnership between India and France. It underscores the commitment of both nations to further elevate their ties and collaboration in the years ahead.
