The accused was wanted on several serious criminal charges and had a Canada-wide warrant issued against him. According to officials, the accused has previously been convicted of crimes including firearms possession, armed robbery, and possession of prohibited weapons. He was sentenced to five years, five months, and ten days in prison, but had absconded while on parole. For this reason, he was added to Canada's most wanted list.
