New Delhi: Iran's Natanz nuclear plant was today hit by the airstrikes suspectedly carried out by the US and Israeli forces but no increase in radiation levels has been reported.
The nuclear plant was targeted as the war launched by the United States and Israel on Iran entered the fourth week, with more than 1,400 people reported killed in Iran.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the global watchdog of nuclear activities around the world, confirmed that Natanz nuclear facility was hit earlier today, amid escalating tensions in the region.
The IAEA has been informed by Iran that the Natanz nuclear site was attacked today. No increase in off-site radiation levels reported. IAEA is looking into the report.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz today warned that the strikes on Iran would increase "significantly" in the coming week.
"This week, the intensity of the strikes to be carried out by the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) and the US military against the Iranian terror regime and the infrastructure on which it relies will rise significantly," said a statement issued by the Israeli Defence Ministry quoting Katz.
