New Delhi: After Iran, now Israel has declared war against Syria. On July 16, 2025, the Israeli army carried out drone attacks around the Defense Ministry headquarters and the Presidential Palace in the Syrian capital, Damascus, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
A video of this attack has also surfaced, in which it was seen that when the attack took place, a TV anchor was doing live reporting in a nearby building and started running in panic as soon as she heard the sound of the explosion.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant Katz confirmed the attack by sharing this video on Twitter (formerly Twitter). He said that in this action, the entrance of the Syrian military headquarters in Damascus was targeted.
He also said that this attack was carried out after the warning in which the Syrian army was asked to retreat from the Suwaida area. Katz said in a stern tone, "Now our warnings are over; now we will launch a sharp and painful attack in Damascus.
The IDF will continue its operation in Suwaida." Recently, Israel has intervened in the ongoing conflict between the Druze community and local security forces in the Suwayda region of southern Syria.
The Defense Minister says that Israel will protect the Druze community in Syria. This is the third consecutive day that Israel has attacked Syria. These attacks started after the ceasefire between the Druze community and the Syrian security forces broke down.
The Israeli Defense Minister made it clear that the IDF will continue to attack Syrian forces until they withdraw from the area. If this does not happen, more deadly attacks have been warned. This news is still being updated, stay tuned to Dynamite News for further updates.
