New Delhi: China has strongly cautioned the United States against launching any military strike on Iran, warning that such a move would plunge West Asia into deep instability and chaos.

Addressing the United Nations Security Council, China’s envoy Fu Cong described Iran as an independent and sovereign nation and stressed that the region should not become a battleground for major power rivalry.

He warned that “military adventurism” would push the region into unpredictable turmoil and urged all nations to respect the UN Charter and avoid interference in internal affairs of other countries.

Iran Puts Forces on High Alert

Iran has responded sharply to the US warnings. Tehran’s Foreign Minister stated that Iranian forces have their “fingers on the trigger” and are prepared to respond immediately and forcefully to any military action.

Iran denied recent contact with US special envoy Steve Witkoff but maintained that it remains open to dialogue with Washington, provided discussions are conducted with mutual respect rather than threats.

Iran’s regional allies have also issued stern warnings. Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem warned that any war on Iran would ignite the entire region, pledging support for Iran’s Supreme Leader.
