Kiev: The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine has once again reached a serious turn. In response to the attack on Russia's airbase and fighter jets by Ukraine on 1 June, Russia has now carried out fierce attacks on Ukraine for the third consecutive day. In the last three days, Russia has targeted major cities of Ukraine using more than 500 drones and more than 80 missiles. reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The city of Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine has suffered the most in this massive attack. At least 3 civilians were killed in a powerful airstrike here, while 22 others were injured, including an innocent child. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov has described this attack as the most horrific attack since the war began.

Kharkiv Became The Center

In this attack on Saturday, Russia targeted Kharkiv's civilian industrial areas, multi-storey residential buildings, educational institutions and other infrastructure. According to Governor Oleh Sinyubov, Russia specifically attacked a civilian industrial area here, burning several buildings to ashes and trapping many people in the rubble. Rescue operations are still going on.

Rocket Factory Became A Target

A major rocket manufacturing factory of Ukraine has also been destroyed in drone attacks by Russia. This factory was considered important for the Ukrainian defense system. This attack is considered a big blow to Ukraine not only from a military point of view but also from a psychological point of view.

Missile And Drone Attack

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, on Saturday Russia fired 40 drones, 1 missile and 4 guided bombs on Ukraine. In the previous two days, 400 drones and 45 missiles were attacked. It is clear from this series of attacks that Russia is now working on a strategy to attack deep inside Ukraine.

Ukraine's Retaliation

The Ukrainian Air Force has claimed that it has shot down 87 drones out of 206 Russian drones and 9 missiles, while 80 drones were neutralized with electronic warfare technology. However, it was not possible to completely avoid heavy destruction and loss of life and property.

Ukrainian Attack On Russian Airbase

This latest attack has come a few days after Ukraine claimed to have destroyed five airbases and 41 fighter jets within Russia in a drone attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called it a major military success, after which this retaliatory action by Russia has come to the fore.
