Meanwhile, the BJP has now approached the Election Commission against its alliance partner, the NCP.
According to Maharashtra BJP General Secretary Rajesh Pandey, the party has complained to the Election Commission about allegedly illegal hoardings put up by its Mahayuti ally NCP and other parties ahead of the municipal elections in Pune.
Earlier on Sunday, during a conversation, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had advised party workers to refrain from putting up illegal hoardings and flex banners, stating that they spoil the beauty of the city.
Following this, the Pune BJP resolved on Monday to make the city free of banners and posters. Rajesh Pandey said that the BJP has issued strict instructions to party workers in the city not to put up flex hoardings.
He stated that the Nationalist Congress Party and other parties have put up unauthorized flex banners throughout the city ahead of the municipal elections.
This is a violation of the code of conduct. We have complained to the Election Commission in this regard.
