Solapur: A shocking incident has emerged from Solapur district in Maharashtra, where a 34-year-old man allegedly poisoned his three minor children before ending his own life. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Tirhe village, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The deceased, identified as Bhima Anna Waghmare, was employed as a security guard at a cement company.

Children in Critical Condition

All three children were rushed to a government hospital in Solapur and are currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. Officials confirmed that their condition remains critical.

Domestic Dispute Behind the Incident

According to preliminary police findings, Waghmare had been under severe mental stress due to an ongoing dispute with his wife. She had reportedly left their home and was staying with her parents, despite efforts by relatives to reconcile the couple.

Investigators believe the man took his children to a nearby farm area close to Valsang, where he allegedly administered poison to them before consuming it himself.

Police have registered a case and stated that further investigation is underway to establish all circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Solapur case comes amid a series of disturbing domestic tragedies reported across the country.
