New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has formally approached the Rajya Sabha Secretariat seeking the removal of Raghav Chadha from his role as Deputy Leader of the party in the Upper House. The party has also requested that Chadha not be allocated speaking time under AAP’s quota in the Rajya Sabha, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

In its communication, AAP proposed Ashok Mittal as Chadha’s replacement for the Deputy Leader position. The move signals a significant internal shift within the party’s parliamentary leadership structure.

This development comes shortly after AAP excluded Chadha from its list of star campaigners for the upcoming Assembly elections, further fueling speculation about his changing role within the party. While the party has not publicly detailed the reasons behind these decisions, the back-to-back developments suggest a strategic recalibration ahead of crucial electoral battles.

Political observers see this as a noteworthy moment for AAP, especially given Chadha’s prominence as one of the party’s key national faces in recent years.
