New Delhi: Aides of All India Students’ Association (AISA) chief Neha Bora on Friday claimed that she had been taken to an undisclosed location after Delhi Police detained her while she was on her way to join the ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ protest in the national capital.
“Neha Bora detained alone, taken to unknown location,” a post on her X account read, adding that she did not have her phone with her. The message also demanded answers from the police over her whereabouts.
“Delhi Police must answer: where is Neha?” the post said, describing the incident as “once again, an abduction”.
Bora was detained at Mandi House shortly after Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke was picked up from his residence in Jhandewalan. Both were on their way to participate in the proposed protest on Friday.
The detentions led to jostling among protesters, camera crews and security personnel as police tightened security across the capital ahead of the demonstrations.

Police sources told news agency PTI that Dipke was taken to Jafarpur Kalan police station following his detention. The location where Bora was taken was not immediately clear.
Earlier in the day, more than 20 Delhi Police personnel visited Dipke’s residence in Jhandewalan and served him a notice directing him to refrain from any action that could prejudice the rights of citizens, traders, commuters, patients and others.
A senior police officer confirmed that both leaders had been detained, maintaining that the situation remained peaceful.
“We have detained Dipke and Bora. The situation is very peaceful. Some protesters have reached Connaught Place and will be removed soon. Our main objective is to maintain law and order and ensure smooth traffic movement,” the officer said.

Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar visited the DCP New Delhi office at Parliament Street police station to review the security arrangements.
Security personnel cordoned off Central Park in Connaught Place and formed a human chain along its metal railings. A tear gas vehicle and a Vajra vehicle were stationed outside the park, while Rapid Action Force personnel were deployed inside.
Traffic police personnel were also positioned to regulate vehicle movement along Connaught Place’s inner and outer circles.
Hundreds of protesters, including members of CJP and student organisations, gathered at Connaught Place and Mandi House for a series of flash protests. Demonstrators waved the national flag amid a heavy police presence.
